Say Yah to Pasties With Grandma!

Try and try as I may, I can't seem to find decent pasties in Wisconsin. Many WI residents claim they exist but I have yet to find one that delivers the same yummy, delicious treat that Roy's (formarly Sheldon's) in Houghton does. Punchy and I recently traveled up North for an extended visit with Grandma Dorothy & the rest of our awesome family. I wasted no time in heading down the hill from my mom's home to Roy's. At the time I kept thinking, "I have to bring some of these home with me".

Sadly here I sit in Wisconsin without my Roy's pasties, I forgot, of course. My memory is not the greatest and it failed me big time. Good thing we're heading back soon for another visit! In the meantime... I hear there's a shop in Appleton that offers "UP-quality Pasties". We'll see :D

Muscle Man

Punchy's humor continues to amaze and delight us. My camera is never far from hand as each day he learns something new or finds a new way to entertain Mom and Dad. Tonight Daddy gave him a lesson in weight lifting, teaching him the proper techniques - see pictures. The last time we had gone to the gym together and brought Punchy into the day care there, he was less than thrilled. He screamed the whole time, wanting us to come back for him as soon as possible. Mike and I have since made our gym time a solo mission rather than a family one. We think we'll give it a try again. Looking at the pics I took tonight, it def looks like Punch is ready to hit the weights! ;D

Veggies Rock!

Little Punch kicked off his 6 month birthday with a serving of delicious green beans. Mike & I both were anxious to see his reaction, we thought for sure he would spit them out as soon as they hit his little palet, (which is our reaction to green beans). But... he LOVED them! We couldn't scoop the beans in quick enough, he shook his fists and kicked his tiny legs for more. Jill had told me a cute story of a time when she was feeding Trevor his sweet potatoes and he had a similar reaction: "GET THE FOOD TO ME QUICK WOMAN!" :)

Needless to say, we are thrilled that little Punch has taken to green veggies so well. Next week we're going to introduce yellow veggies and the following week he'll see fruits enter his menu.

Lets hope this love of veggies continues well into the future!
